Smurfs...50 years old?

You know what French fries and the Smurfs (Schtroumpfs) have in common? That everybody considers them French, while they're actually Belgian.
Oh, right. I knew that.

Somebody just said France earlier and I went with it.

And I'm European.

Wait - I went for a month in Quebec to primarily study French (that was a long time ago, so don't bother asking or saying anything in that language to me now).

You're telling me that when I overheard that cartoon when one of the girls of the family I was living with watched it ... that those were the RIGHT voices for them? It grated on my nerves that they would dub with such disimilar voices, but now I found out the US had the dubbing? Yowza!

I think I watched the Snorks more than the Smurfs. Not sure why since they were just underwater smurfs.
Now the Gummy Bears, now that was a Saturday Morning cartoon for ya!
