Our 80s DM did an AD&D session with us in Smurfland after crossing the portal to their cartoon land. It was weird.
The first half of my long-running 3E-to-C&C-to-5E campaign had an antagonist based off of Gargamel whom the local baron inexplicably trusted as an advisor, meaning the PCs couldn't just shiv him, even though they knew he was no good.

It was very satisfying to everyone when he finally openly betrayed the barony in the big climax of the first half of the campaign. Gargamel is a really strong archetype for such NPCs.

Theyre depicted as being just under Gargamel and Johans knee height - so assuming the humans are 5 - 6 ft tall, having the Smurfs at 1ft seems fine.

Then again they could be tiny crab apples (modern apples are much bigger than the old varieties)

They just seem small, but sure I'll believe in the small apples theory

GreyLord

Legend
It wouldn't work with the rules I read on the KS, but it would be great to run this game (since they include the most notable smurfs) as a killer campaign where as each smurf dies you can replace it with another. Death is frequent and plenty. It would simply be to see how long it would take to have all the smurfs dead in their fight against the forces of anti-smurfness!

So, pretty much Smork Borg.

Reading the quick start it mentions fighting. I think it’s just descriptive though. You can be Smurf about attacking and it’s very vanilla like you knock the spider off his web or you can make it more adult and bury an axe in a spiders head.

It’s Smurfs, might as go for more cartoon violence (by way of the 80s) but you do you.
