Sneak attack with good BAB.

A Bard 1 only gets 1 use of Bardic Music per day.

The re-slotting rules make it a pain.

- Thought it was Lvl+1. In any case, if you have extra feats you can get extra music uses. And it would last for around 12 rounds. Worth it.

- But possible.

Look, it's certainly possible to build a giant array of solar mirrors to concentrate sunlight on a particularly insolent country and fry its capital city, but that doesn't make the idea cost effective or good.

And a Belt of Magnificence gives +6 to all stats for 200,000. Still, doesn't necessarily mean it's a good idea...

To quote from the Dervish Handbook,
Fool’s gold:
The charismatic Dervish. Attractive at first sight with bard and snowflake wardance but probably not worth the trouble. The problem is the Dervish suffers from MAD (Multiple attribute disorder - see below) and Dervishes do not need bonus to hit, they need bonuses to damage. If you can convince your DM to wardance with a two-handed weapon so you can power attack, then maybe – but how is your strength going to be high enough in the first place?

...ok my approach might be a little different, for i will not address BAB and SA in a way so as to have big numbers in both, but as how often does a character get the opportunity to use SA, and as how often is he effective about it.

If a characters manages to get HIPS, as well as some class with ray/touch spells... well he might not have the best BAB and SA in the market, but he certainly uses SA more often (because of HIPS), and he also hits targets more easily because by using HIPS and ray/touch spells at the same time, your enemies' AC will be close to 10 more often than not (Flat-footed AC because of Hide, Touch AC because of spells)...

just saying...

A lot of this is based on the make-up of the rest of the party. I made the mistake of creating a character that is built to sneak attack in a group where my PC has ended up being the only "front-line fighter." The problem being is that he rarely has anyone to flank with. So my PC has gone from the highly effective SA build that I had thought he would be, to a average fighter-type character.
