so confused about lead

what the heck does it do? Everything I read refers vaguely to "other effects block by this material' (that's the strongholds book, but other books are just as vague about it).

Please help!

Lead is sorta anti-magic apparently (or too superman heh).

It blocks Many types of FarScrying Magic and Detection spells.

Yes, it does seem to block all divinations, that much I get.

Does it block:
- teleportation?
- passwall?
- dimension door?
- planar travel?
- astral travel?
- ethereal travel?

No, just certain detection and scrying spells. If the spell doesn't say it's blocked by lead, it's not blocked by lead. (Other than the general rule of a solid barrier blocking line of effect.)
