So for the blanks on the char sheet for the 2 atks.. what are you supposed to put there? Seems to me to but a general basic melee and basic ranged.

There's a Basic Attacks section right below it, so I'm pretty sure it's for your at-will powers.

any more or is that actually all to it. i was looking at that leaked dragonborn paladin, and it didnt have the atwill powers in that part.

Those are just places to do all of your combat math up front so you dont have to scramble around when applying them to your powers.

Most classes have about 2 'attack stats' which is what you can put in the ability place, etc.

For instance, in attack you might put +3 for proficiency, +4 for ability, +2 for magic item, for +9

While in damage you might put +2 for magic item and +4 for str and maybe like +1 for versatile weapon.

Then in the basic attacks bocks you do the whole thing, Str vs Ac 1d8+7 with the bit in your str attack panel as +to hit.

Sounds complex in type but its really, really simple.

I've gotta say, the character sheet in the back of the PHB sucks.

I'm making up a special character sheet for my games that doesn't address attacks or powers at all. That way you can have a bit more room for all of your info, then have all of your powers and basic attacks on power cards.

The character sheet doesn't make it possible to actually list what your powers do, which means either making up cards or using the book for every attack. When you start throwing feats in there, you've got a lot of crap to manage.
