How is everyone? :)

I haven't been ignoring you, or not coming around on purpose. Call it a sin of ommission, if you will. ;) I could say something half-true, like I've been too busy. But really, it's more of a sense of prolonged burn-out that I've been fighting off for I don't know how long. The cancellation of print Dragon and Dungeon didn't help with my sense of whole being and the whole gaming scene, and all the bad press I was hearing about 4th edition plus the total lack of response to my queries for Dragon articles pretty much killed my sense of "working on gaming stuff" = "fun".

I really just needed a prolonged vacation, and I've got to say I'm probably right about in the middle of my hiatus. Yeah, I could come back now or at any time, but I don't want to get into things again prematurely and have something come along and kayo the whole deal and make it permanent this time. Shade has been making sure to keep in touch with me, so that I don't totally drop off the face of the map. And if any of you ever really needs to get my attention, you can PM me and I'll get an e-mail.

It's probably too early to make a decision on what we'll be doing around here regarding 4E. It's still very much a "wait and see" situation. If there are just too many changes of the bad sort to cope with when the books actually come out, we'll probably not be going there. Will we continue with 3E regardless of what we decide about 4E? That too is pretty much a we'll see. Yes, at this moment, I'm with a lot of folks who don't have much faith in how the designers are going to handle 4E, but as you know that may change.

Speaking of which, I've pretty much turned a deaf ear to 4E news for the last few months because I wasn't liking what I was hearing. What's going on with that? Any good news, or all still mostly bad?

As for the way things currently are, at this moment in time I'm not interested in coming back to doing conversions yet. As you've probably noticed, I've turned over just about everything to Shade. I may never work on 3E conversions again; I have not yet made up my mind.

But, I will never truly be totally far away. No matter what, so long as this remains a viable community, I'll always at the very least stop by from time to time.

So, hey, I'm on vacation from work for the rest of the week, and doing some serious relaxing. How are you all? :)

Well, vacation is good! I'm looking forward to some myself...

About 4e: hard to say what the rules will be like, just because WotC has barely dropped any hints. May be good or bad, who can tell? But the fluff changes (which they seem to love to talk about) really turn my stomach. I'm pretty much with Shade on the whole cosmology deal.

Boz - do not let TSR's actions, dicate your actions.

The mission Mr. Boz, if you agree to accept it, is to convert all published D&D monsters to 3.5 using the new format with mobifications. And of course if you are discovered, I will personnel denie and knowledge of anything.

Requested modifcation: ([race HD+class HD+con bonus+feats] HD)

Mr. Boz your work has not gone unnotice by the uninspired (me).

THANK YOU for all the work you have done on CC.

Enjoy your vacation.

I wish I new how to use spellcheck on this.

Well, you're welcome. :)

I definitely haven't totally shelved the idea of continuing with 3.5 after the release of 4E. in fact, that idea is very much a valid option, especially if a lot of you still would prefer to see that happen. We'll definitely be discussing this topic a lot in about 6 months time.
