Having a blast as a player, and on top of that, even more fun designing and planning to get ready for my turn to DM.

Loads more fun. I was ready to quit DMing last summer and, since no one else in the group was willing to run a D&D campaign, it looked like I would be quitting D&D altogether. I enjoyed running the demo immensely and can't wait until next Friday to start our new campaign.

I've run 3 sessions now and it's been the most fun I've had with D&D ever.

As someone who won't be buying or running much 4e, I found it fun to play as a quick one shot.

I jsut got my books yesterday, but was too tired ot read them effectively. I have read lots of arguments from both camps. Since in the end this is a game and games are all about having fun, shouldn't that be the ultimate question. For those that have played, is 4e fun?

It is fun. It is not D&D. But it is definitely fun.

Had an absolute blast this Friday running it, and I've even had fun designing the adventure (go figure!).

7 players. How long did the combats take? Did the DM do anything special to keep the pace up during rounds? I am asking because it seems like more often than not, 7 players will be the default number in my group, at least for the next couple of months.
