I am not very active, but I did the donation thing a while back. A lot of my time goes to my own game board, and I helped with two d20 Magazine Rack PDFs. As for my posts, I think the few posts here go towards my art.

When Crothian "Eats" a member he get's there postcount!

I would guess they lurk. That is a popular option out here. The rules area of this board is great for info, and sometimes you don't have to ask any questions to get the answers you need.

I lurked for the most part my first few months on the board, it is only recently that I started posting anything.

Lol, i was reading down this thread and considering looking. Now i dont have too!

Hehe. Guess that's pretty convenient, isn't it? At least when you're high enough, you only have to look through a couple of pages to find yourself. Those who have a much lower postcount, such as mine or even lower, have to go searching through pages and pages of them to find theirselves. If I had 0 posts, I'd hate to go looking for myself, though I suppose if I had that few posts, I wouldn't care. :)

I think some of those accounts are 'joke accounts'.

Somebody makes a user with a certain name, just so they can make a joke.

For example, a discussion of certain FR NPC's might lead someone to set up an account named "Elminster" just to make a point.

And Reveal,

It's not nice to coat your electrical outlets in Gerbil Phermones. ;)

Once I managed to get the list in pos count order (rather than alphabetical), I was able to locate myself on the rather unimpressive page 14.

I'd imagine most joke accounts would have one post--the post they made to use the joke.

Lots of people come for just one post and leave, too. Like the huge thread that Erik Mona started to try to improve Dragon. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often for Gary Gygax's thread.

Thanks,

Now I'm addicted to trying to up my page count.

I'm almost to page 26.

At the rate I'm going I'll be in the top 10 somewhere around the release of 14th edition.
