Humans, obviously. Probably male.

Oh, you meant "WHO". ;)

I like Phil Reed's stuff. Spencer "The Sigil" Cooley has put out some pretty good stuff, too.

A better topic might be "Which d20 authors do you like", because there are products I like from writers who work for the "bigger" companies.

I vote for Bruce Cordell.

EDIT: Oh yeah, thank you. :)

The Le Games, who donated freely to our recent drive, is run by one guy named- The Le.

He is also looking for some reviews to get the word out. Check him out, he stood up for all of us. :)

Speaking of donations . . . who won the free custom PDF? I'd love to get with them and start writing.

We should know really soon- sickness, holidays and such sorta landed in the midst of all of this.

Did you ever decide to adopt any of the ideas from THAT thread about it?
(any of mine? Huh? Huh? Any of mine?!?!?)

No mention yet of Ed Cha?

Thanks for the nods, folks-- especially as I seem to be in a small minority of print publishers on this list. (But I'm not really a one-man show, either...)

Okay, then let my revise it to "small" publisher or between 1 and 4 (or so) people.

Doesn't that technically include Malhavoc?

I'll also put in for RPGObjects, BadAxe, Ronin Arts, TheLe, DarkFuries, and SkeletonKey.

Dang. That list is getting pretty sizeable. Guess we have lots of great, motivated professionals out there.

i'd also vote for different worlds and bad axe games.

but im not sure if either are one-person, or even few-person, publishers. (im not familiar with the other names so far on the list - so a no vote doesnt mean i dont like them.)

heck, id vote for bad axe and different worlds even if we bring the "big publishers" into the fray. its been my experience that small publishing doesnt mean small talent. valus and grim tales are the best two products ive grabbed since, well, the 3E PHB. hmm...i do like midnight, too.

the problem with smaller publishers, IMHO, is that some of their product lines end up dying. valus has a module coming out, i think, but then nothing (that im aware of). grim tales has cydonia, which i am thankful for, but im not sure if it will fit my campaign (not that i have a campaign, mind you, but a boy can dream).

my holiday wish list would be a grim tales d&d archetype campaign/adventure path (dragons, dungeons, you know the deal). or another regional book in the valus (with more maps and crunch, if i may be so picky).

psion/teflon billy/other reviewers - you guys seem to have your finger on the pulse of the industry, do you know if GT and/or Valus has anything in the pipeline (esp. with respect to my wish list)?

Dreary day in Hotlanta,
W.P.
