So, what are the "400 actually useful" feats?

One of my favorite improvements WOTC did with feats imo was the introduction of the tactical feat. Its the recognition that many abilities are just not good enough to make a feat, but combined with a few more options, they become worth the ink.

I wish a great deal of feats were condensed, many of them would be fine if they were combined with another feat. But many feats out there are too weak or just too plain situational to be good. Situational feats are fine for NPCs but rarely good for PCs

Maybe if WotC put in some "intent" indicators on feats. For example:

P - usually used by PCs
N - usually used by NPCs
F - usually used by Fighters
A - usually used by arcane spell casters
S - usually used by spontaneous spell casters such as Bards and Sorcerers

Another idea is for WotC to put a massive list on the web with feats organized into functional sections.

I think the sample feat progressions in PHB2 are a brilliant idea. Any potential "Feat Compendium" WotC may put out ought to, IMO, devote a massive section to content like this.
