So what's the best character sheet out there?

The best character sheet, for me, is one that is easy to edit. Take Ema's character sheets, for example. They're pretty good. But! They're blasted PDF. Can't insert lines, rename things, and so on, in order to, for example, update it to 3.5... Or to my house-rules...

I like the character record books that I got from Green Ronin maybe ? Not sure on who made it. Plenty of room, several pages long, tough, and most important stuff on first page.

I have to pimp my sheet a bit. :P

My SSA-X2 D&D Character Sheet is PDF form based, and thus you can enter you character data into the sheet within Acrobat, and the sheet will do the calculations for you. The sheet has many features for managing lists of equipment, spells, weapons, etc., and you can change the sheet layout from a basic 4 pages to a colossal 27, depending on your needs. I'va also been able to create a sheet edition which will allow you to save you data even if you're using Acobat Reader (a feature no other PDF sheet I've come across has yet).

You can check it out at: SSA-X2.com

If you have a slower computer, I recommend turning calculations OFF while entering character data. I'm in the process of rectifying the slowdown for the next revision.

<end shameless plug>

Mine is in my sig, it's one of those "crowded" sheets :cool:
But that's what I like...less sheets to keep track of and it's still easy to read. Plus it's color coded. It has an ECL table, familiar stat table, item location table, and plenty of room to add feats and special abilities.
