So what's your gaming experience

1.)How long have you been gaming?

Wargaming since 1975. Played Blue boxed D&D in 1978 a few times. Started playing AD&D in 1980. Took a break from gaming between August of 1995 and August 2004.

2.)What do you play?
DM & play in a 1st ed AD&D campaign restarted where it left off in 1995. Play in a 3e game.

3.)What is your most memorible moment while gaming?
Too many to count really. Stand outs...

a) My 8th level Paladin surviving an assassination attempt, 4xback stab damage, making several saves vs poison or die, losing inititaive getting hit again, making save vs poison or die, then rolling a natural 20 on the Paladin's first swing and killing the would be assassin who was another PC with the vorpal weapon. :D

b) Seeing the reaction of the parties cleric when he discovered the elf maid he'd been dallying with was actually the PC of another rival player in the other party IMC and that she was with child. The icing on the cake was the cleric was chaotic good and elf maid a lawful evil assassin. Of course she did it to ruin him. :]

c) When Baba Jabba the 20th level Anti-Paladin was finally after months of gaming beaten and killed by the adventure party after BJ had killed off several PC's entire families. One player ripped BJ character sheet to shreads tossed it in the trash can and poured coke on it.

d) When Hannock the Arch-Mage finally cornered a super powerful super villian PC Lude Booth the Assassin, who'd killed Hannock's parents fifty years before after planning this for two real years and a decade of game time. Lude had a list of immunities that would scare an ancient red dragon. Hannock broke his Staff of the Magi and the resulting explosion killed Lude Booth dead...Hannock wasn't able to get clear and was killed as well.

1.)How long have you been gaming?

I've been gaming for 28+ years.

2.)What do you play?

Lots of things. Mostly D20 stuff these days. Have played many dozens of RPGs and always find my way back to D&D. I started playign wargames back in the seventies amd really thought microarmor and napoleonics were cool, when i was a kid one day I noticed some fantasy minis in the hobby shop and noticed a game called dungeons and dragons seemingly the fanatsy minis could be used with that game and I've been hooked since.

3.)What is your most memorible moment while gaming?

Having an Ace of Aces concede victory to me in my first Star fleet Battles Tournament.
I hadn't given him that death blow yet but he knew it was coming and he couldn't possibly avoid it and rather then be wiped out by a virutal beginer (to him) . He guessed, but far to late for him to avoid it, that i was going to preform a HET and unleash a massive salvo on his vessel at very close range.

1.)How long have you been gaming?

Since mid 1993, so almost 12 years

2.)What do you play?

D&D mostly. Did some other games systems, but keep coming back to D&D and now the various d20 extracts (Arcana Unearthed, Traveller T20 and so on..).

3.)What is your most memorible moment while gaming?

Too numerous to catalog. To highlight a few:
- The culmination of a 3 year campaign plot with the players facing down a very ancient vampire trying to manifest an epic dragon in a not-so-slowly collapsing transitional demiplane.
- Introducing and re-introducing NPCs (evil or not) that get real heartfelt reactions from the players (love or hate, but definitely more hate).
- Slipping back into Forgotten Realms like an old glove to run a friend with his longstanding character after five or more year intervals (in real life) from seeing each other.

1) As best I could since 1987, and seriously since April, 1990. Couldn't find anybody else who wanted to play at 7.

2) At the moment lacking a group, nothing. :( :( Once, it was Werewolf, CP2.0.2.0, D&D from the red box onward, and most of the Palladium series games (I know, I know...so sad).

3) So many...so many. Every moment was a golden moment through the nostalgia glasses. ;)
