So which monstrous character are you gonna play?

I'm just starting planning my first campaign and one of my players asked a long time ago to play a minotaur. I'm taking the approach of letting my players do whatever they want so I said "yeah sure". Now we have Savage Species coming out it will make this a lot easier... so definately one of my players will play a minotaur.

As for me I'd kinda like to play a nymph

Or maybe a gargoyle:

Joe: "I'm going to pretend to be part of the roof"

or maybe an ECL0 Half-Dragon- no breath attack, no natural armor, no ability adjustments- like an Elf with claws and bite attacks.

Hey, you guys can bet that the moment I get my paws on Savage Species, I'm thinking of doing a Monster-Class-Thingamajig-a-Week, like I've got for deities now....

Just musin' about it, though....I crave this book so much...

If I was a player, definatly illithid. But I might consider ogre or minotaur as a change from my usual "smart but severe personality flaws" type of character.
But since I'm DM, I can use it to experiment!
