4E kicked me in the nads and took my lunch money.

I think you missed a couple of reason for being angry, namely the "lack of trust / faith in WotC to actually do what they say they are doing"

Why would people think this way? Did WotC lie to them before?

1. they're taking away my toys for a year or more (whatever splatbook feat or PrC that was my fancy for now)

2. they had to kill Living Greyhawk.

3. They really have no intention of doing more Greyhawk even if Ruins of Greyhawk outsold the ECS. (I'm predicting an excuse to come along)

The thread is mostly serious, though I think I could have specified the options better.

The communist conspiracy option is just there for amusement / prefered reason not present.

I wish I had made it a 'choose 1' poll rather then multi choice, since I am curious about which aspect of 4th edition is causing the most fury.

Shouldn't there have been an "I'm not angry about 4th Edition" option?

Those two are my biggest concerns. I'm not saying I'll never play 4e (indeed, I've already said to my group that I'll play but I'll have to borrow someone else's book), nor that I'll never buy it (I didn't buy any 3.5 books until early 2005!).

I'm a firm believer in getting value for money from my books and there are 3.5 books that I haven't had that from yet (PHB2, Complete Scoundrel, Complete Mage, and all of the Races of... books!)

Heh, that's funny. I'm actually stoked about 4e because it looks like the concepts that inspired my favourite books are being rolled right into the core rules.

That is also the communist option.

Actually, if your happy about 4th Edition, then your particular set of insights do not satisfy my curiosity regarding why those that are unhappy are so unhappy. In that case, either vote Communist or dont vote. :)
