It was both amusing and annoying last year. I had the opening shift at the ENnies booth, and a significant portion of my job was acting as a human speedbump to keep the crowd from knocking the display cases and what-not over. OTOH it was kinda fun watching geekdom in all its odd and stereotypical glory.

And they were right to do so, this is an outrage, an outrage I tell you!

They're opening it up at 10am to the VIG's (Very Important Gamers). These are the people paying $500+ for a ticket to GenCon. GenCon wants to treat these people and rightly so. Besides, if they're paying that much for a ticket to GenCon, it can be assumed that they have disposable income. That's a good thing for the vendors.

Besides, it's just an hour later than last year.
