Not to say that this is the way that they're doing it. But in the proposal assessment world (from my experience), this is how it works-

The first cut is to determine if submittals are in accordance with the published rules. This occurs before ANY reading takes place and generally eliminates 25%.


The second cut involves a gloss-over read. Submittals are then placed in one of three piles- YES, NO, or MAYBE. The "NO" pile is round filed. This phase generally eliminates another 50%.

The remaining have to be read seriously and of these, about 10% make it to a final deliberated assessment process (which, in this case, will result in ten).

This is not to say that the process at WOTC operates in this fashion but it gives you an idea as to how an assessment process can work.

Hey Anthony, if you received a page full of Angtheras runes *they would have been in a rainbow of colors originally* that was a bit of light hearted humor from our house. You can translate it using Lord of the Rings and it's just random stuff from a webpage. We hoped you guys would get a kick out of it.

Just so everyone doesn't jump on me for this one, we also sent 3 real entries in. We just figured they might want a little something to smile at.

Oh BTW, I think Anthony is going to be applying for vacation when this is all over....in 6 clearly labeled sections with his name in the lower left hand corner.
