Soloing the World's Largest Dungeon

Well, I read through the A section and its seems doable though a few missed Foirt saves and this could be over fast. She wants to use a pre existing character so one of much higher level then most people here are saying, but it is an Akashic, so very good on the skills and some interesting abilities but not great at anything else.

If you go the Arcana Evolved route and use Gestalt rules, I'd like to know how it works out.

Crothian, if you make modifications to the encounters then I suggest you remove "save or die" spells. Even sleep, with one unlucky roll, and the campaign is over.

I think I'd be inclined to send in a henchman. If the PC made a fighter/cleric or just straight cleric, and the henchman was a sorcerer/thief, you might actually stand a chance. I'd be inclined to start them off at 5th level I think.

My players aren't halfway out of section A and I have already had two TPKs (one was virtual). I don't see how it would be possible to solo unless you started the character higher than they are supposed to start.

In one wandering monster encounter the orc barbarian was caught out in the hallway by himself by a flight of 8 stirges. In just a couple rounds he was reduced to 3 CON and the whole party had to rest a week to get him back up to full strength. If he hadn't have had a room to run back into and a party to get the stirges off him, he would have been toast.

Well, ya, sending in a first level character would be pretty much suicide. That's why I'm not doing that.

I think she's crazy since she hates dungeon crawls but she assures me that she can have fun with this since it is the Word's largest dungeon.

Well, that's an odd reason for her to think she would like it.
"Boy, I really hate cheese, and...HOLY CRAP! That wedge of cheese is HUGE! I must eat it!"

Well, not that the analogy is good. But being able to say she did solo WLD is a pretty good accomplishment in gaming.

I'd go with Gestalt PC and 1-3 Gestalt NPC followers. Get her to go Barbarian/Druid and then expand to the Shapeshifter PrC. Fear.
