Some minis I've painted with Glen...

Micron Eyes

I've just bought my micron pen, and the only thing I've done with it are Troglodyte eyes, which are slitted. I will say they work excellently for slitted eyes. I've found that even my finest brush is not easy enough for me to control to get decent eyes.

I've tried the method mentioned on the WotC site, with mixed success . . . I tend to end up with too much paint, but that might be my lack of patience.

My experience with the Micron pens is that they fade after about 5 or 6 years. I used micron tech pens on my Dwarves' eyes ten years ago and they all have faded so much I have to redo them. Eyes with a paint brush do take time, and a good brush, but they are most definitely worth it!

eye painting

I use Mike McIvey's method and it works well for me. I paint the eye black and put a white dot in each corner. Sometimes it takes a couple tries, but it usually ends up looking pretty good. Of course, my minis aren't going to win any contests, but they're still a great visual at the game table.

The dragon ROCKS!

:( WAAAAAAAAAAHH!!

I wanna paint a dragon but wife says -before I can buy more- I have to finish the minis I have first!!

WAAAAAAA!!!

:p

Do what I did when faced with this delemma, hide your current minis. Now my wife does not game so she did not realize that 50 or so minis were no longer on my to be painted shelf.

You're cracking me up, fellas! :D

The irony is that you'd lose all of your gaming stuff in the divorce... ;)
