Some Stargate Questions....

FletcherGreen

First Post
I am just about to start a SG-1 campaign, and I had a couple questions that the book couldn't answer...

1. The standard package has 60 rounds of ammo listed for the P-90... does that mean 60 bullets, cause the p-90 takes clips of 50, and I don't think the SGC hands people a clip with only 10 bullets, but 50 rounds seems too little to send anyone through the gate with (assuming the correct number is 50). Personally I changed it to 6 clips, which seems appropriate

2. When upgrading equipment, like the sniper bundle comes with a telescope that is 6X, but the 12X is only 1 more gear pick. Could just the difference be paid or does the 12X telescope have to be bought totally separately?

3. Many of the specific kits have no weight listed, like the evidence kit (which isn't even in the table). Should I just pick a weight for them or is there something I am missing? Also, how much does ammo weigh, since its weight isn't listed either...

I'm sure I'll have more questions as the campaign progresses, but that's all I got for now... Thanks for any help you guys can give.

First, you should check out the AEg stargate forums over at
http://www.alderac.com/forum/

they have some errata posted and can give you perhaps more direct answers.

They revised that package in IIRc the season one book. Unless i am off, it went up to 150 rounds or 5 clips, although it does vary now by team using that book.

IIRC the general answer was to pay the difference.

For the kits, look at the other kits and make a decision. For ammo, believe it or not, it is deliberate that ammo has no weight in the game. IIRC they called it "a conceit of the system", the system being spycraft and that particular nuance passing over to the gate. IIRC in my game, after a little web surfing, i came up with a ballpark of 1# for large clips (30 rds or more) and 1/2# for small ones.
