OK, so my boards karma is running low in respect to the "4E Haters." :)

I've honestly just been curious as to what could cause such rage. I'm trying to relate to my fellow gamers even if they don't share my tastes.

My new theory to the rage is exclusion. When Bevis & Butthead became insanely popular I didn't have cable. All the fans of the show were going around, doing the laugh, making references to the show. When Magic: the Gathering debuted I had very little money to my name and couldn't afford to join my fellow gamers in the newest craze. In both instances I felt angry at being left out. I wanted to throttle those doing their lame Bevis impersonation. I mocked Magic players, likening them to crackheads.

Since then I got the chance to experience both. I found the show to be very funny and the card game still gets some play on Friday nights.

Maybe one day the 4E haters will feel included again when the factor causing them to feel excluded passes. Or maybe they'll have a zen moment (like one fence-sitting poster mentioned in another thread) and realize their hate is just hanging negative vibes upon themselves. Or maybe they'll rage against the ever-rolling machine that is editions of D&D. :D

If you are a "4E Hater Hater" please feel free to post your own extension of sympathy and try to purge your own hate. Ohmmmm.... :D
