Someone do a pit fiend vs pit fiend fight

Someone with more time on their hands- could you do a Pit Fiend vs Pit Fiend fight using dice and the canon statblock info? Also, a pitfiend vs spined devil fight, if you would.

And give us a play by play so we can see how combat goes.

Hard to do without the stat blocks of the summoned monsters, since they seem to be a large portion of the pit fiend's power. One of his main strategies is to debuff his enemy's AC, then swarm them with lower level fighter types, exploding them when their HP gets low.

Yep, I agree, especially since the Pit Fiends type is "Soldier (Leader)". They're meant to be strategic combatants working with underlings, not solo brutes.

True, but one could at least attempt it and see howit plays out. Pretend the fiends are in a no-summon zone.

Altrnatively, you could use the spined devil as the summoned critters...

Don't see how that could ever be done with what we know now.

For one thing, we don't know anything about what actions are possible in combat besides "Attack".

So, let's say Pit Fiend A wins initiative. Can he disarm pit fiend b, then trip him, then, using the mace he just grabbed along with his own, play Pit fiend B like a huge demonic bongo? Can he do this only if rolls 4 20s in a row? If he spends an action point? If he buys the DM pizza?[1]

Everything we've been told promises that 4e combat will be more than "roll to hit, roll for damage", so I'd expect a lot more trip/disarm/bull rush/atomic wedgie type action than in 3e.

[1]Well, you can do anything if you buy the DM pizza...

Hmm I think FR works differently this time. but anyhow, just going by with what we have could be cool.

Oh well, it was an idea.

Of course not. It would be a huge devilish bongo.

That's gotta be one of the weirdest combinations somebody's ever come up with. Let's do exploding devils. Fun! Cool!

I don't get it.
