Speaking of doing extreme things to computer products, there was an article in (I think) PC Magazine a couple of weeks ago, about the amount of abuse that USB key drives will take. They were talking about putting them through a washing machine and running them over with cars. I guess it's the new version of 'takes a licking and keeps on ticking'.
