Allright, now in the flavor text for socerers...it says that magic is a part of their heritage, that magic flows in their blood. Now what on earth makes them unable to cast unlimited spells per day? I mean, if it flows within them, why can't they just pull more out of their buttocks? I'll tell you why, because it's taxing, both physically and mentally. If all this is understood, and accepted, why not make a few exceptions? I propose a new able/ability for the sorcerer. Some way for them to have some advantage over their uber-powerful wizard counterparts. I suggest something to the effect of allowing them more spells per day by making them draw it out of themselves....for a price. I suggest some form of concentration check, for low level spells, and then will saves and so forth for higher level spells. I am calling out to other en world-ians for help on this matter. Help me create an "eratta" for the spell casting abilities for the sorcerer.

The question has almost nothing to do with the post. ^_^;

BUT, I believe the PsiHB has a feat that allows psions to burn ability points to gain more power points. I think that allowing such a feat for a sorcerer wouldn't be too shabby.

I propose a new able/ability for the sorcerer.

There is already a mechanic in place for this, high Charisma. Charisma represents the sorcerer's presence of being, and as such determines their ability to call on both more and more powerful magics.

I believe he's talking about a mechanic to let them exceed that via a check or save, or perhaps burning hitpoints or ability points. Although the Sorcerer has plenty of spell per day...its spells known that are the problem.
