Sorcerer vs. Warmage

Just took another look at the warmage, and a very scary thought came to me: Warmage Edge, the ability that adds int to damage for spells, isn't specific to spells on the warmage's spell list. A Warmage 1/Wizard X would make for a very powerful build, as being a level behind on spell progression would be counteracted by the extra damage (which would increase as the wizard boosts his primary stat to the high heavens).

This thread makes me feel good about the FFd20 Black Magician. :)

Imagine Int-based point-style spellcaster like a Psion, roughly getting a wizard's spells/day. Only spells on the list are damaging/instant-kill spells, really, though there's lots of different flavors of these. No familiar. Instead, it gains at level 1 the ability to boost their Int by concentrating (full round action; 1 round = +1 bonus, 2 rounds = +2 bonus, this goes away the round after you stop concentrating), and at 10th level the ability to cast two spells in one turn as a full-round action.

Heck, I might have to give this class a little something else to boost it...hm....
