It's really going to depend heavily on the local area, random market fluctuation and how far away the items traveling to reach the store (i.e. foreign goods).

Naturally, Goods and Gear: the Ultimate Adventurer's Guide has tables for that, and lists base availability for items.

You know something was tickling the back of my brain about something like that being in that book. Another reason why I'll being buying it one of these days. Like as soon as i see it discounted somewhere to a price I'm willing to pay.
