South of Nentir Vale?

so basically we are no closer to an answer
also - I have to admit I am kinda glad that other players are waiting for this info too. I thought I was just behind the times so to speak. My group has only recently made the jump to 4E. (We're old dogs, don't even ask how long we kept playing 2E after 3 came out)

Ugh. While I'm happy to finally see the board, it conflicts enough with my preconceptions that I don't know if I'm going to be using that in my games. Unless of course the Nentir vale is just in the corner, which means I can change the geography to the west of it however I like. Now I really want that Sarthel, City of Silver article to drop today more than ever.

However, the expanse of sea with continents on two sides does make sense to me, as I always imagined Sunspray as being on the other side of the ocean that Vor Rukoth sits on.

It *is* partially obscured by the blown up portion of the map but...

You can still see that following it south is a heavily forested region, and then Sarthel. The waters along the southern coast of Sarthel being the Western Midnight Sea, and the Bay of Nera.

We now know that the Dragondown Coast from the second Nerath book is on the coast east of Sarthel and is southeast of the Nentir Vale (I don't think was know previously).

Yes, the Dragondown coast is that curved bay that the Sarthel region encompases. The river that is the border of the Sarthel map region is the The Blackfall, which means the closest city in the Dragondown coast to Sarthel is Avankil (check out the map in The Seal of Karga Kul).

Also, from the most recent D&D novel, The Temple of Yellow Skulls, we know that Nera; the capital city of Nerath, which was described in Dragon 393 Legacy of Nerath; is on the river that leads south-ish from Fallcrest. IMC I've assumed this is the same river that borders the Trollhaunt, and passes through Moonstair.

The Art Gallery for last month's dragon had a slightly larger image of the map, including the locations of several dungeons, like the Temple of Elemental Evil and Vault of the Drow in Karkoth and the Sunless Citadel and the Trollhaunt Warrens in the Nentir Vale.

Neat! Although the TOEE's location is going to cause a bit of a retcon in my campaign, but I'm alright with that. They're currently in Hommlet on their way to the TOEE, and the recently joined drow PC is from the Vault of the Drow.
I guess they're just further from Nerath than they believed.

I think I recognized The Forbidden City, and White Plume Mountain as the dungeons in the SE corner of the map (Vailin).

Wow your eyes are better than mine (but I need glasses so it isn't a surprise) I couldn't read anything on that map except the names of the "nations" and the impassable territories.

So are TOEE, Vault of the Drow, and Sunless Citadel being updated for 4e?
