Southern Exposure (PA, DE, NJ) ENworld Gathering! [9/29-10/2]

Unfortunately Joshua is running "Swamp-full of Stirges" on Saturday from 2-6pm, so he won't be able to make it to the gathering until the end; the event is also being run Friday from 2-6, so it'd be possible for others to play it and still go to the gathering.

Well, quite honestly the 3-8 time was picked (at least originally) by the staff to fill their existing slots. If he's running from 2-6, that just means he can catch up with us at the pub after he finishes his game (assuming folks want to repeat our previous 2 performances). I am rarely known to turn down the chance at Guinness, it's true. :)

Truthfully, we're pretty flexible. Last year, we got together post-3ish and Michael Tree taught us how to play Lunch Money (and then he preceeded to beat me with a tire iron).

The master schedule has been released, for those so interested, and we're listed as event S404, "ENWorld Gathering" on the matrix, but D404 on the web page. They even typed up a nice little blurb for us:
"D404: ENWorld Gathering. A gathering of members of the ENWorld Forums, the largest D&D based forum outside of WotC's web site. Meet and greet other people who you only talk to online. If you are a member of the forum already, you'll run into many friends. If you are not, then here's your opportunity to learn all about one of the largest D&D resources in the world! This meeting will begin in the panel room and then move into the restaurant for dinner. Saturday, 3:00PM - 8:00PM; One Session; Fun, All Ages."

When we set out for the pub, we'll make sure and post a sign indicating that.

Quick Poll: Would folks like us to bring badges again this year, as we've done previously?

Reminder: Southern Exposure is THIS week!

If you're only going one day, make it Saturday!

Yep - Saturday seems to be the day to go. Most of the events are scheduled for that day (I'm already signed up for seats in three old-school D&D games!)

You mean some of the AD&D games? Yup, there's more than a few of those runnning. I think most of the 3.x games tend to be pick-up games.

I was surprised at how sparse the RPG section of the schedule is. There seem to be a lot fewer independent RPG games scheduled than last year, though I expect there'll be lots of pick up games. I had lots of fun playing 7th Sea and the Extraordnary Adventures of Baron Munchausen game last year, and was disappointed to not see them on the schedule this year. Maybe I'll just have to bring my copy of Munchausen and start a game of my own. :D

I admit the program looks a good deal smaller this year, which is somewhat disappointing. On the other hand, I'll be glad to run a pickup game or two...and equally glad to play in others. I've never played 7th Sea or Munchausen, and I am sorely itching to play some Mutants and Masterminds.
