Space 1889 to get Savage Worlds treatment

I'm no fan of Savage Worlds...but Space: 1889 is one of my all time favorite RPG settings.

I'll at least give it a look.

I too loved Space 1889! Does anyone remember the board game that preceded the RPG?

You mean Sky Galleons of Mars? Wasn't this published at about the same time as the RPG? I've never played it but remember drooling over those cool playstic aky ships. :) Hmmh, why didn't Fantasy Flight pick up this game when re-doing so many other old board games. It should be right up their alley.

Oh, nice!
Space 1889 was fun, and Savage Worlds is a good system which'll fit the world better than the old one did!

A new version of Sky Galleons, with plastic ships, would rock!

Yahoo! It was worth hanging onto that old rulebook and sourcebook then! I will indeed be picking this up. I already wanted to try SW. This is just icing on the cake.

Everything about this is WIN.

Savage Worlds? Love it!

Space:1889? Been running it for YEARS using d20 Modern.

Oh and I do own the Sky Galleons of Mars boardgame, from which I drew the title of my long series of one-shot games that I've run at Game Days and GenCon.

I'm taking a break from running those right now but I'll relaunch the series when this comes out. Fo sho!

I don't know the Savage Worlds system yet ... but I adored the Space: 1889 setting and loathed the system, so it has to be an improvement. ;)

Man, I've been toying with the idea of getting into Savage Worlds, and I really, REALLY want to go with a steampunk sort of game. Dammit, they are just forcing, FORCING me I say, to buy their damn games. :D

Ok, ok, getting out the credit card now. :)
