Join the crew of Moonbase Alpha!

Space 1999 RPG.webp

The Space: 1999 Roleplaying Game will allow you to join the crew of Moonbase Alpha! Created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson (Thunderbirds, Joe 90, and so much more) in 1975, the British show told the story of a moonbase after a nuclear explosion throws the moon into deep space. The game is written by Andrew Peregrine (Dune) and Modiphius Entertainment, and is powered by Modiphius' 2d20 system.

You can sign up for more information at the Gerry Anderson website.

It's now up for pre-order:

Appropriately enough on Breakaway Day!

Edited to add: $73.00! Yowza! I was thinking about picking it up, but that is a bit pricey!

Agreed...that much for a 196-page book? Nope; no; not going to happen.

Or a Remington Steele/Street Hawk crossover RPG

Add Automan & Manimal and you probably have all the current popular genres, as witnessed through an 80s/analog lens.

(There probably is a game out now that can feasibly rp all this out)

(More on topic: I also had the Eagle from this series)

Somehow, somewhere people would buy and play this. Pair it with Smellovision and I can't see how it could fail.
The new Discworld game is apparently going to have a wordplay-based mechanic. I could definitely see the theater kids jumping on a musical-based RPG, although I suspect the Cop Rock RPG would be behind the Worlds of Stephen Sondheim RPG and even the Cats RPG.

Not familiar with it, saw that its on KS now I believe, but is it a multi genre RPG system?
Nah, it's a fantasy RPG based on a wildly successful series of British fantasy novels. It's multi-genre in the sense that it stretches from witches and wizards to city watchmen. But it's firmly fantasy and doesn't even have specific combat rules, since it's about wordplay.
