Great. Showing it on a channel I don't have.... :]

Is that on digital cable?

I may have to get DVR so I can catch that and The Dresden Files, starting in January.

I like Spaceballs, my family likes Spaceballs and all my friends like Spaceballs. I didn't even know there were people who didn't like it.

All we need is that Michigan J. Frog scene:

Hello my baby, hello my honey, hello my ragtime gal! Send me your kiss by wire, baby my heart's on fire! If you refuse me honey you'll lose me then you'll be left alone, oh baby telephone and tell me I'm your own!

IME people who have seen Spaceballs fall into two camps: either they love it and think it's brilliant (me, and most of the people I know), or they hate it, for various reasons along the lines of "it's pointless" "it's too silly" or other things that all really boil down to "the humor isn't my style." That alone is an interesting phenomenon in my book, to have such extreme reactions from the movie.

For me, the best part about it is all the break-the-fourth-wall gags, like the camera hitting Dark Helmet's faceplate and knocking him down, or when Colonel Sandurz uses the remote to turn off the whole movie. I've always loved that kind of joke, and Spaceballs took it to a whole new dimension (literally and figuratively)!

Sounds like the latter camp is full of Andrew "Dice" Clay fans. :p

New Article

I added another link in the original post to an article with a Q&A with Brooks. The article also includes a cartoon picture of Yogurt and Barf!
