Special Conversion Thread: Unicorns

4 each in Listen, Move Silently, Spot and 3 in the other 2 skills?

Not sure I like Skill Focus (Survival) for this one. Just nothing is jumping out at the ATM, though.

Agreed. How about Skill Focus (Move Silently) instead?

Why would it need any points or feat in Move Silently when it has silence at will?

I'd put 5 in Listen & Spot, 4 in Jump & Survival.

As for it's other feat, why not Run or Combat Casting following the Celestial Charger's example?

A cruelty as a counterpoint to the unicorn's grace? What are black unicorns in MoF?

I'm going to go with CR 5 or maybe even CR 6 given the paralysis and silence/invisibility here.

The black unicorn is "Solitary, family (2-5), or legion (100-600, with evil female riders)".

I like "cruelty" in this case.

I was thinking a malice of black unicorns. It's more generically malevolent (as befits a Neutral Evil creature), and I think it's a decent inversion of the "grace" of regular, agreeable unicorns. Calling it a cruelty would make me imagine they spend all their time torturing little forest creatures.

I'll vote Challenge Rating 6.

Originally I saw them as CR5 but right at the edge of 6. Then I remembered they have Spell Resistance as well, which tips them into the higher category for me.

Dark unicorns speak Common, Sylvan, and Undercommon?

Those languages make sense.
