Special Round is Over!!

I'm with the Jester here...

Cleave

Also agree with Pasus Nauran on Improved Initiative, once the first round has been dealt with, it's irrelevant. I think it's a perceived benefit for some, I have a player in my campaign who delays into the next round to get a better initiative score if he rolls badly but fails to see that he loses and action and still effectively goes last. On the other hand in our side campaign the halfling Rog/Sor has 18 Dex, Improved Initiative and Quick Reconnoiter, normally wins initiative so that he can be first to run and hide.

the game is too combat oriented

Can't argue with that, it's one reason I houseruled +2 skills per level for all classes and have the +2/+2 feats scale up with level. My player with 16 Int Rog/Brd loves me for it.

I'm voting back Power Attack

Nearly all of my melee characters take this feat, and it's really not as broken or overpowering as people tend to think.

Why is Improved Initiative so popular? So what, it gives you a +4 on your initiative. You may go ahead of others in the combat order, but really, once combat starts why does it matter (unless you roll initiative for each round, which my group doesn't). Once you're in the cycle, who cares? Just my opinion. :P
Many combats only last one to three rounds. With short fights, going first is quite important.
