I don't understand the rule from table 7-33 "Multiple different abilities-Multiply higher item cost by 2". What is "higher item cost"?

When the space used up by the item is at a premium, you have to pay extra for any additional powers in an item besides the first. Think of it this way: A Cloak of +6 to all stats is a whole lot more useful than 6 items each of which gives +6 to a single stat because it only uses up the cloak spot, so you have to pay extra to do something like that

Yup first (most expensive) ability is at base, and then 50% cost increase after that. Powers on an armor beyond the + are all secondary if they don't have a flat + cost.
