Specific BoED question

I wonder if you folks who have got the Book of Exalted Deeds could answer a question for me, as I haven't been able to pick up a copy yet (damn Atlantic, always getting in the way ).

I think the Vow of Poverty feat would be ideal for a character I am creating, so I would like to a little more about.

Specifically, I need to know what prerequisites its has, so I can make sure my character qualifies when I am able to get the book.

I would have posted this to the existing BoED thread, but it was already at 12 pages!

The only pre-req is the sacred vow feat. Basically, you get something at every level. Several types of bonuses to hit, several types of AC bonuses, save bonuses, and ability score boosts. You can only own a simple weapon, clothing, and enough food for a day at any one time. It's very good for monks or any other character that doesn't need equipment to be effective.

They are both Exalted feats, which gives them expanded requirements (Beyond what's explicitly listed).

You must be good (so for Monkie, it's Lawful Good).
You must abide by a moral code as stringent (if not more) as a Paladin. And of course, the DMs permission.

You also get an Aura of GoodieGoodie-ness.

Sacred Vow is an Exalted feat which means that the character has to be good and has to play up to how the DM thinks an exalted character should. Fortunately, there are guidelines for exalted characters of each class in the book...
