[Speculation] Compendium II

Does anyone else wonder if there will be follow ups to the various compendiums? Also what other compendiums would you like to see?

Naturally, the Rules and Magic Item Compendium will need to sell well and other titles would need to be announced and released (Feats?, Classes and Class options?, Equipment?, Sub Systems?) It looks like they might be moving towards such a thing with all the consolidation lists.

I can see how it would appeal to those unwilling to leap to another edition and those who would by them for completeness sake. There are so many spells since the Compendium and there will only be more before the next edition that it would seem to be a no-brainer.

I could see a Monster Compendium being viable, as there are many books that only feature a handful of monsters (enough to fill up a single volume anyway).

The feat compendium is, IMO, very much overdue. Of course, such a book would probably need some new mechanic on how to gain more feats.

Speculation Compendium!

Speculation Compendium - Master the Secret Magic of Rumors!

Every 4e rumor ever circulated (going back to 1992), now in one convenient hardcover.

Cheers, -- N

And they just add them to the next Monster Manual. If WotC ever released something called a "Monster Compendium" I would think it would be a "best of" the expansion monster books (and other sources). It might not be too bad of an idea eventually since both FF and MM II were 3E and only have notes on updating to 3.5.

They haven't done that since Monster Manual II, as far as I can tell. All the monsters from the race, environmental and other books have shown up nowhere else. The monsters are, in fact, the last major chunk of Miniatures Handbook goodness not to be replicated anywhere else, along with one or two of the prestige classes (Bonded Summoner is pretty swell).

April Fools Day is approaching. Perhaps some website developer at WotC will see this thread. :D

As Whizbang_Dustyboots and Glyfair mentioned a 3.5 update of monsters from supplements like Fiend Folio would be a great idea along with Summon list expansion ideas (along with how to balance said list expansions)

How about the 4E rumor Compendium? That would take up my whole living room by itself.

But seriously, now that I have done my required mention of 4E, I don't think we needed the Rules Compendium or any others. Spell Compendium was nice ,and I would probably buy the second if it ever came out. I look up spells all the time and having only two books to use really helps (PHB being #2)

But as for feats, PRestige classes, monsters and such, i don't need to look them up that much
