First Post
Hello I am wondering if anyone out there has a spell component check list or list covering all spells and components for D&D 3.5

Would really help my game out if some one had one

*cheers

tl;dr

Spell components are little in-jokes. There is no need to keep track of them beyond buying a spell component pouch. This is explicitly stated in the rules.

If you still desire a list, I can look around, but I don't remember there being one.

Do you mean a list of actual materials required to cast each spell (like "eye of newt" and such)?
Or do you mean a more general list of which spells have verbal (V), somatic (S), material (M) components, and/or a focus?

I haven't seen either one, though. The first, as Dandu notes, is assumed to be unnecessary in-game as long as the caster has a spell component pouch-- unless you simply enjoy tracking that sort of thing, of course! The second list could be a useful quick-reference, though.

Hello and ty

Hello and ty for the replies.

I was looking for a list of the material components like eye of newt, cats fur, bull hair etc

Sadley my DM is making me keep track of those and make sure I have them in order to cast the spells

Maybe I will talk with him but I don't see him swaying he can be stubborn :-P

anyway...

Heh, that brings back fond memories of long-past campaigns, in which we the party spent time harvesting monster guts and crawling about through underbrush and gutters seeking the wizard's spell components. (And by "fond memories" I actually mean "miserable memories ;) )

The only thing I can think of that might help would be to track down an old database or xml file of spell data. There might be a way to extract the specific components from something like that. I know I've seen such things on teh int3rwebz over the years, but don't really know if they're still available or where.

Sorry that's not very helpful. Good luck!
