OOC: There's actually no specific action or move associated with reloading in the loading property in 5e. It just prevents you from making multiple attacks with the weapon with a single action, bonus action, or reaction, but even that doesn't prevent you from making a separate attack with another weapon afterwards.

OOC: You can. :) You can actually potentially shoot it multiple times in one round, just not on the same action, unless you have Crossbow/Firearm Expert as a feat.

OOC: Yep [MENTION=8058]Queenie[/MENTION], Unsung has the right of it. All loading means is you cannot make multiple shots with the same action (i.e. you can't use the Extra Attack feature many martial classes get at level 5 in order to make two or more shots...unless you have the Crossbow/Firearms Expert feat).

So, I've been playing this wrong with the "bad guys"! Oops! I'll be correcting that from here on out.

EDIT: As of this post, Invisible Castle was still down. I'm fine with you either using [ roll ] tags or rolling on your own using dice/online roller and posting the results.

"I'm over here gorgeous," Katerina says lightly to the ugly pirate as she reloads her guns. "Why don't you come over here and get a kiss..." She raises her arm, carefully takes aim and fires.

Struck by the barrage of force missiles, the gangly pirate scrambles back, eyes with fear. "They've got an army of witches in there. Dwarf witches!" Despite his one-eyed compatriot warning him to stand his ground, the gangly pirate shakes his head and prepares to retreat. "I'll not stay to be turned into a newt, or a toad, or a sloth, or a--"

The one-eyed pirate snarls, "Shut yer yammering and put your axe to work, you yellow-bellied coward!

No sooner has the ugly pirate locked eyes on Katerina than her pistol shot launches him backward, colliding with the wall and slumping down dead, an ugly end to an ugly man.

D'avard snarls in pain and defiance, back handing Nia, leaving a nasty bruise and a thin cut along her face (6 damage). Snapping at Caillou with his hideous eel-fanged jaws, he comes short of the Tengu King by mere inches. He shouts a command to the pirates, "Give 'me hell and powder, garçons!" Then the seawolf takes a deep breath, and the red-bearded pirate inside the house follows suit.

The one-eyed pirate grins thru the window frame, drawing forth a small crude metal sphere with a thick wick. Speaking to Old Zef with a wink, "A little present for you..."

OOC:
D'avard Claw attack vs. Nia Steeleyes: 1d20+4 15, hitting for 6 (1d8+2 average) damage, and pushing her back 5 feet.

garçons is French for "boys"

From behind the stump, Barrington is aware of the Spanish rifleman shooting at him. He has no more bullets for the borrowed rifle, so he drops it an draws his familiar pistol, which is already loaded. Ka-pow.

[roll0]. If successful, damage = [roll1].

OOC: ha ha -- I thought I was close to him, which is why I went after him (and why he shot at me!). Here's a second roll if it's needed: [roll0]
