D&D 5E Spell & Crossbones

OOC: Correction: [roll0]+[roll1] necrotic damage on a hit. But I don't think that's likely to be one. Except in Quickleaf's post D'avard's AC seems to be given as 12/13, so...maybe?

Soon enough, D'avard's taunt is met threefold by Old Zef's barrage of fiery missiles which burn away the corsair's vest and necklace, and singe his hair down to the eyebrows. He discards the remnants of his sizzling vest with a savage cry. "Damn you! I'll have your tongue, dwarf!"

"You'll have to pry it out of your whore of a mother's nether regions first" calls back Old Zef.

OOC: @Queenie So in 5e two-weapon fighting rules only apply to light melee weapons. It was similar in 4e, not sure about 3e. Now, the Crossbow Expert feat (which we re-skinned as "Pistol Expert") kind of circumvents this letting you use your bonus action to fire a second shot with a pistol. Without it, at your current class levels you only get one shot.

Hope that clears things up.

okay -- Something weird is going on that I don't understand. I posted two days ago, saw the post but can't see it now. Am I going nuts?

In any case, it was something like this:

1. I apologized for my silence; I'm here, but didn't receive notices about this thread. (But did apparently about others). Still not getting things about this thread.

2. I made the acrobatic check. Here's the roll. <http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4794433/> 1d20+5=20.

3. Because I was slow, I had Barrington break off the chase and just head back to the ambush point, letting the spaniard flee.

This rings no bells for anyone, does it? Or am I just not seeing it? In any case -- there you go. If I appear not to be around, please send a pm, even when I'm travelling I'm usually online.

Sorry.

[sblock]Hey @Kobold Stew I didn't see that post, but the site's been having some issues this past week or so. Quite a few people couldn't log in all weekend, and there was a point this week when the site link redirected to a 'domain for sale' page for a few hours. So it's not just you or anything.[/sblock]

OOC: No worries Kobold Stew; weird things have been happening all week on the site seems like.

Also, just so everyone knows what's up - I am waiting on you Queenie to do your full post and roll for attack/damage, whatnot, before I take D'avard's turn. The closest targets are the two pirates 30 paces from the front door.

After that, it will be Barrington, Caillou, and Nia's turns. Since you already posted Unsung I will take into account Caillou's actions at that time, but for the record, yeah the 12 hits (since D'avard is a shapeshifter in human form, kept that way temporarily thanks to Nia's moonbeam.

IC is down. I used Wizards roller but don't know how to post those specific results so I'm having Fenris watch and verify ;)

Roll(1d20)+6: 20,+6 Total:26 Nat 20! So, crit.

Roll(2d10)+4: 1, 8, +4 Total Damage :13 Meh.

Without a word to give herself away, Katerina takes aim at one of the closest pirates and fires, hitting with a solid shot.

Of the two pirates who are closest to the door, charging with hatchets and pistols, Katerina's shot hits the ugliest of them to the right of his chest and he stumbles thru the grass for a moment, looking like he might fall but forcing himself back up with a battle cry.

Despite the spell onslaught he endures, D'avard breaks into a run, moving past the two charging pirates, snarling as a spray of blood from the pirate shot by Katerina hits his face. The door quakes as the full force of D'avard's body hits it with an inhuman snarl; though you've lost sight of D'avard for the moment, you can hear something that sounds like claws raking down the front door.

OOC: Ok, technical difficulties with ENWorld and InvisibleCastle aside...

Barrington, Caillou, and Nia's turn is next. Unsung you posted Caillou's turn a bit preemptively, so we can just use those results.

Both boarded windows have been reduced to just cover (+2 AC) for anyone inside the cabin.
