D&D 5E Spell Entries - What I would have done differently

So now spells are complicated, and you're going to be reading the full descriptions often because there's too much information to distill into a small area?
That's how it's been through most of D&D's history, yes. The header lines are very convenient for looking up a casting time, range, area, or save - so well worth having, so you /don't/ have to read the full text /every/ time - but a lot of spells are sufficiently arbitrary or in need of adjudication that they have to be gone over in detail.

If the former, you should write the information on your character sheet. There is sufficient room, and you're going to slow down the game if you have to flip through the book.

If the latter, well, you're reading the description.

In either case, extra information in the header is not helpful.
