Spell Idea Help

I am creating my own magic system, trying to get it a tad different than the norm. I have been trying to get it like a rune base magic yet my idea I have for the runes are difficult.

I was thinking about doing the spells in Kanji symbols or just plain japanese but since I do not read japanese it is hard for me to translate them. I was curious if a few of you or soemone knew of a way to translate words into kanji or japanese?

Your help would be most apprieciated.

Not quite it but close. I am actually looking for a translator site that allows me to type in the word and it shows what kanji symbol it becomes. It would probably be best if it was actually Hiragana instead... as it is easier to join words together using that basic form of symbols. I just don't kow where or how to put all the symbols together.

Maybe use Chinese Hanzi - they have a much larger vocabulary of logographs.

http://www.mandarintools.com/ is good too, not quite as nice for character lookups (IMO), but better for Wade-Giles, Cantonese pronunciations, and such odd things. Its English dictionary is more thorough too.
