Spell Specilization for Wizards?

I've heard of spell specilization for Wizards, where they can ban a certain school so they can learn more spells and have a certain school's spells be harder to resist. Thing is, I can't find it anywhere in the PH. Where is it?

Check the PHB, page 54 sidebar - "School specialization". Incidentally, specialization does not make your spells harder to resist.

That's what the Spell Focus feat is for, and seeing as most specialists will have an abundance of spells from the appropriate school most will probably take that. Except maybe Diviners, seeing as diviniation spells don't often use saves.

An Egoist Psion IMC has the same Problem: Psi Focus has to be taken for the Primary Discipline First, and Egoist Powers are almost exclusively buff spells.
