spell to change range weapon damage type

i remember reading a spell (want to say it was a 3.5) that upped the damage dice type by one or two for ranged weapons projectiles. does anyone know the spell?

Sounds like the Pathfinder 1st level (Ranger, Sor/Wiz) spell Gravity Bow to me (Advanced Player's Guide). Not worth casting a spell for, if you ask me, even if it's only 1st level.

i wanted to permanently enchant a weapon with it. thanks man ill look it up now.

it has a target of personal, so the only way that would work if you were casting the permenancy spell.

so you couldn't make it a continuous effect on an item?
