Feeblemind is a 5th level Arcane spell that drops Intelligence to a 1 on a failed save.
Would it be a fair tactic for a wizard to research a variant of the spell that would reduce another stat to a 1?
That could be a particularly powerful spell. And quiet a useful thing against various creatures (could lower Strengths of tank fighter types, wisdom of clerics, charisma of sorcerers, reduce the giants CON to give him such a tiny amount of hit points...).
Clerics already have a spell which can be used to lower a wizard or sorcerer's offensive capabilities via stats: the Defenders of the Faith spell Curse of the Brute. This spell takes away both arcane casting stats (Intel and Cha) for an equal bonus to Str, Dex, or Con (to use offensively, drain 8 away from the spell casters, and give the bonus to CON. It'll take a little longer to kill him, but he won't be offensively dangerous due to strength or harder to hit via dex).
To be fair about the spell variant, we could make the save for physical stats be a Fortitude save, while not physical ones would be Will.
What do ya'll think?
