spellcasting questions

Aurio

First Post
Hi folks, i ran across some questions regarding spellcasting prestige classes recently, and would be grateful for any advice:

A. Does a geomancer's (masters of the wild) "spell versatility" ability allow him to use his/her wizard caster level for cleric spells and vice versa, or even add up all his/her caster levels (i.e. clr3 wiz10 ---> CL 13)?

Spell Versatility : He still acquires and prepares his spells in the normal manner for his individual spellcasting classes. When he casts them however, he can mix or match spellcasting parameters from any of his classes to gain the maximum possible advantage for any spell level equal or less than his spell versatility score.

B. Can an Elemental Savant (complete arcane) benefit from "force-charged energy" (planar handbook, 5th sorcerer substitution level : allows him/her to lace his/her energy spells with force making them deal 50% force + 50% energy damage) or feats such as "born of the three thounders"? ( actually i already ruled this as a yes, but i want to see what people think )
What about using both at the same time, thus completely altering the spell's energy descriptor?

C. Do AC bonuses granted from mage armor and shiled spells stack with the ones from mundane armor and shields?

D. If an elemental savant or another transformational prestige class is effected by a true mind switch power, will he/she be stripped of all the benefits it granted him/her?

Thanks for your precious time :P

No fair, you took the easy one!

To be more specific for question C, you need to look at the type of bonus the different items provide.
Armor provides an Armor bonus to AC.
Mage Armor provides an Armor bonus to AC.
A shield provides a Shield bonus to AC.
The Shield spell provides a shield bonus to AC.

Bonuses of the same type do not stack. When bonuses do not stack, you just use the highest one.

However you can be wearing armor and have a shield spell going, or you could cast Mage Armor and use a regular shield, and everything will work fine.

For A I'd say you could use the higher of your caster levels, but that you couldn't add them together. Opinions may differ tho ;)

A) I would say no, as Spell Versatility does not mention being able to swap or add caster levels. (IMO, the text after what you pasted is the full capability of what Spell Versatility allows rather than examples, though I know of some people who think differently.)
B) From what I understand of the CArc version, I don't see why not as they can still cast force magic. Not sure about your second question.
C) What they said.
D) I'm not sure of the RAW answer to this, but I think this would depend on the class and your own viewpoint of how it's attained. In this case I'd probably say that they're no longer elementals (if they reached that part of attainment), but they keep other class attributes.
