Spellpool and Metamagic

Hypersmurf

Moderatarrrrh...
Let's say we have a Sorcerer/Mage of the Arcane Order with Spellpool I - access to 1st through 3rd level spells.

He can call a Bull's Strength (2nd level spell) through the Spellpool.

Can he call an Extended Bull's Strength (2nd level spell, 3rd level slot) if he has the Extend Spell feat? If he doesn't have the feat?

Can he call an Empowered Bull's Strength (2nd level spell, 4th level slot) if he has the Empower Spell feat? If he doesn't have the feat?

Is his Spellpool Debt incurred based on the spell level or the higher metamagicked slot level?

-Hyp.

From the epic progression for the FR MotAO (Guild Wizard of Waterdeep)
Spellpool: Beginning at 12th level, an epic guild wizard of Waterdeep can call spells of up to 10th level from the spellpool. For every two additional levels of guild wizard gained, the upper limit of the spell level called from the spellpool increases by +1 (11th-level spells at 14th level, 12th-level spells at 16th level, and so on). The spellpool can't provide epic spells (those created from the epic spellseeds described in Chapter 2 of the Epic Level Handbook).

The 10th+ spell from the spellpoll seems a bit strange.
I assume that you can find metamagicked spells in the spellpool.
It's not clear if you can "download" spells affected by metamagic feats you don't have (it would be an overpowered ability).

I'd allow the application of metamagic (known) to a spell, with the dept based to the original spell level.

The difficult of this question is in the fact that AFAIK the Spellpool ability is designed to help casters which prepare spells by recalling spells that they have not prepared. In the case of which, they cannot apply metamagic, because they do so at preparation time.

Anyway, they can recall metamagicked spells from the Spellpool (possibly subject to DM's call anyway), and this is an advantage because they don't need the MM feat themselves.

If it works like this and I am not making this up :) then I really think that Sorcerers should not be allowed (and possibly should not need at all) to apply their own MM feats on the fly.

edit: recalling a MMed spell should of course count the level adjustment, both against the limit of 3rd level (for Spellpool I) and for the purpose of the Spellpool debt

IMO u can call metaspell from spellpool but have to pay metaspell cost (in level) futhermore as a DM I would not authorise a caster to call metaspell he can't cast , cause he don't have the metamagic feat.
IMO it's like calling a spell you don't have in your spellbook !
