There's sort of a mutually-assured-destruction truce among my gaming circles over Holy Word and Blasphemy. If the players don't try any tricked-out Holy Word shenanigans, then the DMs avoid doing the same with Blasphemy.

Instant death, disintegration, etc- yeah, I'm down with all of that stuff. But as a dm, I never fudge my saves against those things when the pcs use them, as they can't fudge against me. It's only fair.
