The Paradigm Concepts cards are pretty sweet, they include spells from other OGL sources, though the names escape me at the moment.

Spell Cards

Hello folks,

I just wanted to let everyone know that Paradign Concepts has put out an excellent line of cards. Below is a list of the one's they have to date:

Spell Decks:

Spell Card Listing

I hope that helps everyone.

Doc Midnight did a GREAT job with his cards!! Too bad he was asked to stop making them available, and even worse...those who distribute his work don't give him credit. What's wrong with pirates today ;)?

These appear to be kinder, gentler pirates. Or at least reformed pirates. Today, their site lists the cards as Spell Decks by Dr. Midnight. Pirates who give credit. Who'd'a'thunk?

The problem with the purchased cards is the cost and durability. As a player, I don't like to tote aroud too much, I already bring a large mini case and a battlemat. I throw my spell cards in a binder clip an put them in a pocket of my bag. Over time the corners will get wrecked. I also think $25 is a steep price, for $12-15 it would be a no brainer purchase for me. It is a great idea and I hope they are successful.

How does Paradign Concepts get away with the Mastery of the Mind set? As far as I'm aware Psionics are in the SRD, at least not at the Wizards site.

I'm also curious as to what books there spell cards cover, as they have 300+ cleric and paladin spells listed is that only from the PHB?

What names do they use for the IP spell's like Melf's Acid Arrow?

Psionics is in the SRD under the Gentleman's Agreement - allowing FDP to publish stuff like the Psi Toolkit and Of Sound Mind, Malhavoc to do If Thoughts Could Kill, and Mongoose the Quintessential Psychic Warrior.

Yes, but a gentleman's agreement wasn't enough for Dr Midnight's spell cards the fires time round.

Perhaps he commited the cardinal sin of giving them away for free?

Well, one thing I noticed about the PDF files available on that site - assuming they were the originals - is that they did not appear to contain the OGL. That may have had something to do with it. But Doc would be the only person who'd be able to answer that (well, him and whoever sent the C&D).
