"Spend a rage in order to..."

There are feats and class abilities that let one spend a turn/rebuke undead in order to do something else.

There are feats that let you spend bardic music abilities and druid wild shapes in order to do something else.

Are there feats that allow someone to spend a "rage" (like the ones barbarians get a certain number of times per day) in order to do something other than rage?

I've only ever seen one that I can remember.

It's in Races of Destiny and you have to be an orc or half-orc to take it. It lets you add your Str bonus to an upcoming Will save as an immediate action

Past that, I've never really seen any - it is definitely the least represented of that style of feat.

Hi, I wrote Rage Feats, so I thought I might add my two cents. There are feats for single classed and multi-class barbarians, there are rage feats for most races, and also a few epic rage feats.

Most feats scale so that as you get more powerful rage bonuses the feats grow in strength as well, making them still valuable at higher levels.

The only reason I can think of for there being a lack of such feats is that, generally speaking, you never have very many rages to begin with.

Thus, while spending a TU attempt or a bardic song shot is a meaningful but not egregious, the feats spending Rages would have to be much more powerful, and would be used, consequently, less often.

There are a couple of feat in Complete warrior that allow you to "rage plus". You get all the normal benefits of your rage plus a small added bonus.

I have the Reality Deviant Press "Rage Feats" PDF and it's really good stuff. Granted, the content is limited to, well, rage feats. It's a very good resource for anyone playing a barbarian. You have to pick a feat or two after you've got Power Attack, right? ;)

I keep meaning to write a review of "Rage Feats" since I think it doesn't get the attention it deserves.

well, regarding this, what would you want to give up rage for? when i play a cleric, i usually use turn attempts to juice up my spellcasting, like with divine metamagic feats. i dont play bards, so ive got no example there. but what would you give up rage to do? rage is already a big buff, you cant do it oftern, even with extra rage feats. i would say the most interesting option flavor wise would be to see if the DM will let you take certain wild feats and use up a rage instead of a wild shape. obviously you couldnt do this with all of the wild feats, but it would make a little sense, especially with the totem barbarians.
