Here's to hoping!
The only thing close to a bash of the first, IMO, is that Norman was killed. Yeah, I know that he died in the comics, and this is probably about the right amount of screen time for a movie series before he buys the farm. My problem isn't with the fact that he's dead.Sirius_Black said:It's nice to see someone else mentioning they enjoyed the first film. Lately from other boards I've been to, the latest Vogue thing to do is to bash Spiderman.

It's with the possibility that the Spiderman franchise will do what the Batman franchise did and kill off a villain in each movie. As long as Doc Ock survives S2, I'll be happy. Spiderman very decidedly does not kill, and will do everything in his power to save even an enemy.
I suspect you're right, but we won't know about Spidey until one of his foes survives.garyh said:I agree, that really hurt the Batman movies. However, Marvel did keep Magneto alive at the end of X-Men, and Kingpin lives at the end of Daredevil. I figure that for Marvel, villains who don't die in the comics won't die in the movies. We'll see, of course.
