Not sure if this was posted today, but below is a link to an article from the USA Today talking about this set of children's books. Included is a small snippet about DnD. Has anyone read these books or are reading them to their children?

We picked up the first one, but haven't had time to actually read it, yet. Tony's art is quite nice, and quite different from what Planescape enthusiasts might be used to. I haven't had a chance to determine how good the story is, but we'll probably read it to/with my kids.

I havent seen the books except for some covers in a display..but Im glad Diter..er Di Terazz.. er Tony's doing something that might become "big". His work great.

I have borrowed the first couple of the series from the library and read them to my sons, ages 6 and 4. They loved them, and I foresee getting a complete set, especially now that the older son is reading "chapter" books more.

Aside: When did they start calling them "chapter" books? And what does that mean? Does it serve to differentiate books with chapters from books that are too short and simple to be divided into chapters? I don't know, but I understand the term to mean short books on an elementary school reading level.

My son (age 9) loves them and has read all 5. I have yet to read them, but I will probably read the whole set over Thanksgiving break or something.

At GenCon 2003, Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black were giving away (and signing) copies of Book 1 and Book 2. I had already bought a couple of them, but when I brought back signed books my son finally got interested in them past Book 1. Ah, the power of celebrity autographs. :)
